Midnight mix’em up.

Set the mix to get your fix.

In today’s blog, we are exploring Midnight’s mix control to see how varying the wet to dry ratio can drastically effect the end phase sound.

0:00 - 0:17 The bypass sound.

In this section of the video, we run through a chord progression to demonstrate the Strat’s uneffected neck position.

0:19 - 0:49 Classic analog swoosh.

Now that we’ve heard the bypass, let’s hear what the Midnight can do! With Midnight’s mix control set at noon, we get an equal blend of the wet and dry signals giving us classic, lush, analog phasing.

0:50 - 1:28 The next phase in phasing.

Lastly, let’s crank the mix control eliminating the bypass sound from our signal completely. This setting creates a unique, three dimensional modulation with elements of phase, vibrato, and rotary effects all rolled into one.

Let’s make some noise!

Now that we’ve explored the possible, let’s go and create the impossible. Visit here for Midnight.
