Honing in the Hohner.
Sustain where you need it.
In today’s blog, the past meets the future when we pair up the classic Hohner Pianet electric piano with the brand new Buffalo Days (Spoiler Alert: they get along just fine).
0:00 - 0:19 Dialing in the verb.
So the Hohner Pianet sounds awesome but it lacks a sustain pedal, meaning notes are immediately muted when you let off a key. Using Buffalo Days, we are able to dial in as much or as little decay as we desire. In this example we are using the plate setting for bright reflections that compliment the Pianet’s naturally dark sound.
0:20 - 1:19 We’re floating in space.
In this setting, Buffalo Days creates a pad-like cloud for the Pianet to float on. The plate setting sounds huge and adds the much needed sustain we wanted while allowing the subtle characteristics of the Pianet to shine through.
Let’s make some noise!
Now that we’ve explored the possible, let’s go and create the impossible. Visit here for Buffalo Days.
