The many flavors of Frybread.

The many flavors of Frybread.

Join us today as we explore a multitude of tasty guitar tones, from gritty dynamic boosts to blistering fuzz and everything in between. If you’ve been hungering for a more versatile fuzz, pull up a plate and let’s dig in!

We will start each riff with a brief demonstration of the bypass tone for reference.

0:00 - 0:57 Soft but crispy on the edges.

We’ll start with the Fuzz control turned all the way down, this setting gives us a touch responsive compression with softer playing and power amp style breakup when you dig in.

0:58 - 1:32 No tone, no problem.

A lot of fuzz pedals only sound good with the tone control in one specific spot, set it too low and you’re in mud city. Not Frybread Fuzz, check out the lovely warm overdrive sound we get even with the tone control (Bread) all the way down!

1:33 - 3:02 Frybread holds together.

Next let’s bring up the fuzz up to around 9 o’clock. This setting produces thick saturated fuzz with a boosted mid characteristic. The breakup is aggressive but still has enough clarity to articulate complex chords.

3:03 - 3:51 Rhythm or lead it’s got what you need.

In this section we’ll increase the gain to around 2 o’clock and play a riff that uses a mixture of both rhythm and lead playing to demonstrate how well Frybread Fuzz works for both!

3:53 - 4:50 Mangle you can wrangle.

This riff really shows off Frybread Fuzz’s ability to achieve very heavy saturated fuzz sounds while maintaining a low noise floor. This is great for getting those big fuzz tones without all the unwanted squeals.

4:51 - 6:48 Full on fuzz.

We’ve heard it be mellow, we’ve heard it be tasteful, but for the last couple riffs let’s crank the fuzz and hear it rip! Here the sounds start to really roar with complex blooming low end and stuttering gated break up. Even in its most extreme settings Frybread Fuzz maintains a beautiful musicality that sounds at home in any style of music.

Let’s make some noise!

Now that we’ve explored the possible, let’s go and create the impossible. Visit here for Frybread Fuzz.
