Like peanut butter and jelly.

Today we are pairing up Buffalo Days with Rising Sun, and you’ll be hard pressed to find a better duo. If you’re trying to nail those classic 60s combo amp sounds, reverb and tremolo are going to be essential. So join us as we dig in for some tasty tones.

0:00 - 0:14 A quick sample of our bypass sound.

To start, let’s check out the bypass signal. For this demonstration we will be using the neck pickup of our trusty old Fender Duo-Sonic.

0:15 - 0:28 The universe is giving you a sine.

Alright now for the fun part, let’s add a little movement to our sound with Rising Sun. In this example, we are using the sine wave setting to achieve a subtle pulsing effect, adding beautiful modulation without taking over our tone.

0:29 - 1:13 Let there be reverb.

Now that we have some lovely analog tremolo, let’s add some spring reverb from Buffalo Days. The change here is immediate and dramatic. The spring setting adds a beautiful decay to each phrase and when used in tandem with Rising Sun, your tone is transformed from bland to a vibey and vintage goodness.

Let’s make some noise!

Now that we’ve explored the possible, let’s go and create the impossible. Visit here for Buffalo Days and here for Rising Sun.
