Low gain swoosh.

Today we are combining some deep phase shifting from Midnight and some low gain crunch from War party to create a tough rhythm tone with some three-dimensional movement. This pairing goes together like Luke and Darth Vader. Let’s get it!

0:00 – 0:15 Our starting point.

Let’s start out with our bypass signal. We are using the bridge humbucker of our trusty Fender Duo-Sonic. Our bypass tone is punchy and full, but we can make it a lot cooler if we add Midnight and War party to the mix.

0:16 – 0:30 Just a taste of the War Party.

Now that we have our clean tone dialed in, let’s beef thing up a bit with War Party. For this demonstration we will leave the gain control down and just be using the volume and tone controls to dial in some warm crunch. The War Party has a ton of gain on tap but today we are focusing some of the mellower sounds War Party has to offer.

0:31 – 0:48 A little movement to make things more interesting.

With our crunch dialed in, we can add some modulation to get things moving in a more interesting direction. With mix around noon, feedback all the way, and depth set to ten o’clock we can achieve a slow, warm, and iconic analog phaser sound.

Let’s make some noise!

Now that we’ve explored the possible, let’s go and create the impossible. Visit here for Midnight and here for War Party.
